My introduction to professional event planning began years ago, when I was asked by a photographer to assist him when shooting wedding pictures. He was looking for someone with exceptional people skills, organized and had the ability to take charge "gracefully".
While assisting with photography, I met many vendors in the event industry. I watched and learn from these professionals, gathered ideas and began to ponder the option of leaving my "day job" to start a professional event planning company.
As time went on, my "day job" led me to relocate to beautiful Savannah, Georgia, where I accepted a position of leadership in the company. In this position, I planned and executed training meetings, system-wide meetings, and was asked to Chair the "Relay for Life" campaign for the entire company.
Soon, the many vendors I worked with encouraged me to become an event planner. We developed good working relationship and I still work with some of those vendors.
In the back of my mind, I had known for a long time, that one day I wanted to run a business of my own. After having worked in the party, wedding and corporate events arenas, event planning was the natural choice. Ending a successful career with my "day job", it was time to embark on my own venture. Thus, InJoy Events was born.
With a strong customer focus background, where planning and organizational skills are 2nd nature, encouragement from my family and friends and a strong desire to succeed I began to grow my business. And grow it has!!! I truly thrive in this environment and I bring much enthusiasm into my work.
